Egypt is unique in the variety of desert oasis as Al Farafra Oasis, Swia and Al Bahria Oasis that attract tourists from all over the world to enjoy safaris in the sunny weather. The Supreme Council of Antiquities introduced the “Spend Winter in Egypt” initiative in January 2021 to encourage domestic tourism. Flights to various destinations are offered at flat rates from 15 January to 28 February and a there is a 50 per cent discount for Egyptians on tickets at the archaeological areas and museums in various governorates in January and February.
