A Look at Life in Haiti, Part 2/2

Believers take part in a voodoo ceremony on the occasion of the traditional Fete Gede, in the General Cemetery of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, 02 November 2021. Haitian voodoo is a tradition of pure religious syncretism that, on these dates, takes the peace of the cemeteries for two days and fills them with color, music, prayers, offerings, trances and smells. Voodoo followers celebrate Fete Gede between 01 November and 02 November, which is the equivalent of the Catholic festivities of the Day of the Dead and All Saints' Day..
