Drag Kings have seen a resurgence in recent times, attracting sold out shows and Gabriel credits the creative process as getting them through difficult personal times as well as further broadening the discussion surrounding gender. This month sees the celebration of Sydney Mardi Gras culminating in a parade which began in 1978 as a march and commemoration of the 1969 Stonewall Riots of New York.
