Thai temple goers take part in a traditional resurrection ceremony on New Year's Eve at Wat Takien, located in Nonthaburi province, 20 kilometers north of Bangkok, Thailand. The temple is famous for its resurrection ceremonies where Thai's ritualistically die before being reborn. During the ritual, Thai worshippers tie a white thread around their heads and take part in a group prayer before lowering themselves into coffins where Thai monks perform the resurrection ceremony.
