People take part in the Endiablada (demonic) tradition in Almonacid del Marquesado, Cuenca, Spain on February 02, 2022. Every year on February 1, 2, and 3, in honor of the Candelaria and San Blas, a festival is held. The only year in history when the ritual was not observed was 2021, when the COVID-19 pandemic struck. During 100 "devils," dressed in vividly colored costumes and carrying gigantic bells (some weighing more than 20 kilos) on their backs, parade through the streets of the town, carrying the Saints in procession, and dedicate dances and jumps to them over the course of the three-day event. Dances and dances are performed by women dressed in traditional attire. This festival has been designated as a national tourist attraction in Spain.
