A performer on horseback reenacts a battle scene as he takes part in the season opening performance of Kynren – An Epic Tale of England, as 11 Arches open their season and present an immersive experience and various live action shows at Flatts Farm on August 06, 2022 in Bishop Auckland, England. The Kynren performance takes the audience on a journey through 2,000 years of English history as seen through the eyes of Arthur, a 10-year old boy from the North East who encounters rebellions, wars, magic, majesty, celebration and heartache from Boudicca’s battles with the Romans to two world wars, via Vikings, Tudors and the fate of Charles I.
