As is the tradition, the Chicago River was dyed green to celebrate St Patrick's Day on March 11, 2023. Mobs of people headed downtown to experience this manmade phenomenon. Many a leprechun were spotted in the hordes. The dying of the River was followed by the St.Patrick's Day Parade starting at Balbo and Columbus Drive.
