A keeper lets out a white rhino to outside enclosure at the Safari Park in Dvur Kralove nad Labem, Czech Republic, 14 March 2023. The third calf of the seriously endangered eastern black rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis michaeli) has been born in just one year in the Safari Park Dvur Kralove, zoo located 150 kilometres east of Prague. According to the zoo, Safari's cubs represent fifty percent of all cubs born in zoos in a given period. Worldwide population of this species, decimated in their natural habitat by hunting and poaching for their horns, is estimated at 800. The newborn male is the 49th addition to the breeding population of eastern black rhinoceros in Dvur Kralove which began in the 1970s. It currently lives in a safari 15 eastern black rhinoceros, the largest group in the gardens worldwide. In the past years also repeatedly eastern black rhinos from Dvur Kralove headed back to Africa, specifically to Tanzania and Rwanda. (Photo by Martin Divisek/EPA/EFE)
