The orange-headed thrush (Geokichla citrina) is a colourful shy singing bird in the thrush family that prefers to live in the damp secluded environment of the rural bush, in the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia. The species shows a preference for shady damp areas and can be quite secretive. The orange-headed thrush is omnivorous, eating a wide range of insects, earthworms, and fruit. Albeit shy by nature, this thrush demonstrated high tolerance for human presence. On a good day, the bird will make two trips to its bathing ground, mostly localized to the evening period.
