People kiss in reaction to confrontational Evangelical Christians condemning the annual LA Pride Parade on June 11, 2023 in the Hollywood section of Los Angeles, California. The LA Pride Parade is one of the largest and oldest pride parades in the nation having begun one year after the 1969 'Stonewall Uprising' protest to a violent raid by police on gay patrons at the Stonewall Inn in New York City. The Gay Liberation Front responded by helping to organize gay parades in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York City on that anniversary.
