The BAP Union, a Peruvian Navy training vessel manned by a crew of 255, has reached Shanghai, China, where it will spend four days. The purpose of the visit is to promote culture and tourism and to commemorate the 52nd anniversary of the establishment of official relations between Peru and the People's Republic of China, as well as the 10th anniversary of the two nations' comprehensive strategic partnership.
