Representatives from the Indigenous People community of Awyu and Moi in West Papua wear their traditional dress, hold a prayers, rituals, as well as traditional dance performance during the visit in the Supreme Court in Jakarta on May 27, 2024. They also bring a piece of soil from their customary land as a symbol, to hand it over to the Supreme Court. The Indigenous people community is calling on the Supreme Court to revoke the permit of the two palm oil companies in Boven Digoel and Sorong, which threatens their customary forests, the size of more than half of Jakarta province.
