Porfirije, the patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church leads religious procession Spasovdanska litija in Belgrade, Serbia, May 25, 2023. Porfirije conducted the service near the Vladislav Ribnikar school, where a teenage boy killed 9 students and a security guard on May 3. Thousands turned out in the procession for the Feast of the Ascension, in which the remains of Serbian Orthodox Bishop Nikolai, who was canonised as a saint in 2003, were also carried in a covered coffin.
