Local volunteers help to get a fire under control close to the village of Gjugjantse, near Sveti Nikole, Republic of North Macedonia 01 August, 2024. North Macedonia is under attack from uncontrolled forest fires throughout the country. Due to the fact that North Macedonia does not have enough planes and helicopters to extinguish the fires, the country sought help from the European Union in fighting the fires.
