Positions as “Cachaceros” are respected according to their lineage, only the children of cuadrilleros can participate in the cuadrillas. the 'Cuadrillas de San Martin' is a tradition with almost 300 years old where the horsemen in San Martin show their skills in a contest with a series of 10 different games. It is not clear if the tradition comes from Spanish riders or from the Achagua indigenous, but the reason of the games was for fighting the territory between the Galanes, Moros, Guahibos and Cachaceros cultures, representing (in the same order) the Spanish, Arabs, indigenous and Africans.
