A sports airplane stands on its nose after an emergency landing next to a power box and a streetlamp in Haselau, northern Germany, on April 2, 2013. The 52-year-old somehow escaped with minor injuries after smashing into land just feet from a row of houses in Haselau on Tuesday. His 23-year-old daughter, who was a passenger, also survived the terrifying incident relatively unscathed. Die Welt newspaper reports the aircraft suffered technical problems during the flight, forcing the pilot to perform an emergency landing. The plane came to a stop against a lamppost after being guided to the ground. Strong winds then blew the plane onto its nose, after the pair had left the wreckage.
