One of Portugal's fairytale towns, Sintra, located amidst lush forests and rugged hills, attracting thousands of local and foreign tourists every year with its rich palaces, magnificent villas, and historical sites, on March 6, 2025. A UNESCO World Heritage site, the town was a summer residence for Portuguese nobility due to its cool climate. Quinta da Regaleira, built by Antonio Augusto de Carvalho Monteiro in the late 17th century, features a variety of structures including a palace, chapel, bridge, well, park, lake, tunnels, and caves. The Initiation Well, shaped like an inverted tower and adorned with mystical and pagan symbols, features a spiral staircase with 9 levels. It is one of the main attractions for tourists.
