A fir tree from Ledro, Italy's Trento region is brought to St. Peter's Square to serve as a Christmas tree, Vatican, 22 November 2024. Before the cutting of the fir tree, there were protests by environmentalist associations at a local level with appeals addressed to Pope Francis himself.
