A U.S. Air Force bomb squad have posed for an explosive team picture. Explosive ordnance disposal technicians took time to make an eye-catching photo op during a controlled demolition at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar on January 10, 2025. It features the 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron showing off their protective gear, reinforced vehicles, and remote-controlled bomb disposal robots – along with a C-17 military transport flying in the background. The U.S. Air Force said the “EOD technicians provide explosive threat mitigation using a range of sophisticated equipment such as bomb suits, remote-controlled robots, x-ray systems and chemical detection devices”.
