Detroit police use the scoop of a front-end loader to carry two people stranded in a minivan to safety after street flooding caused by a water main break on Friday, February 7, 2014 on Detroit's east side. Several vehicles were stuck in water and ice, prompting a rescue by police officers on construction equipment. The break was reported about 5 a.m. Friday in the area of Gratiot Avenue at Conner Street. The scoop of a front-end loader was used to carry two people stranded in a minivan.
