Mimi Kirchner is a Boston-based fiber artist. She live with husband in a Victorian era (1892) 2-family house. Have 3 kids who are mostly grown up and doing their own things. She graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1976 with a BFA.

Fascinated by the texture and color of water artist Elizabeth Patterson challenged herself to recreate the absurdly complex formation of water droplets on rain-streaked windshields. Her ongoing series titled Rainscapes blends drawing, hyperrealism, and traditional landscape techniques resulting in images that can be seen as both real and abstract.

“Basunga”. Basunga (3 weeks-old newborn with albinism) is happily sleeping with his cousin. For now, he does not yet realize the difficulties he will face to integrate into the Congolese society as a PWA.
