The holder of half a dozen world records will walk across the Grand Canyon on a steel cable with nothing but the Little Colorado River 1,500 feet below on June 23. With no tethers or safety nets, the walk will be the highest tightrope attempt ever for the 34-year-old, at a height taller than the Empire State Building. Johnson Cheung-shing Tsang is a Hong Kong sculptor specializing in ceramics, stainless steel sculpture and public artworks. Tsang’s works mostly employ realist sculptural techniques with a surrealist imagination, integrating the two elements, human beings and objects, into creative themes.

Climbers “painted” the Matterhorn red this week to celebrate a special anniversary. A group of mountaineers left red beacons along the route of the famous climb, which is one of the highest mountains in the Alps, and as nightfall came the imposing mountain came alive with colour.
