Chicago-based illustrator Alex Solis created an ink drawing a day with a bizarre theme – he re-imagined what some of the most popular horror characters ever might look like as cute little (murderous) babies.

Jirka Väätäinen is a Finnish artist from Melbourne and he recently reimagined some of Disney's most famous princess. He took these iconic characters and made them look like real people.

Asked to take photos from an aerial perspective, an instructor and I took off from Grand Prairie Municipal Airport around 9am. The burn, scheduled to start an hour later, was delayed. I love flying, but patience proved challenging as circling for nearly three hours gets boring fast. Once the fire started we only had 15 minutes to take photos because the plane was booked at 1pm. Mt.Huanshan, or Mount Hua is one of the five sacred mountains in China. The other four are Taishan in Shandong, Songshan in Henan, Hengshan in Shanxi and Hengshan in Hunan.
