Peacock Spider Maratus Speciosus by Jurgen Otto

Maratus is a spider genus of the Salticidae family (jumping spiders). These spiders are commonly referred to as peacock spiders due to their colorful abdominal flaps that they display during courtship. In at least one species, Maratus vespertilio, the expansion of the flaps also occurs during ritualised contests between males. All described species, except M. furvus, are endemic to Australia. Fact The Dubai Fountain

The Dubai Fountain is a record-setting choreographed fountain system set on the 30-acre manmade Burj Khalifa Lake, at the center of the Downtown Dubai development in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was designed by WET Design, the California-based company responsible for the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel Lake in Las Vegas. Illuminated by 6,600 lights and 25 colored projectors, it is 275 m (902 ft) long and shoots water 240 feet into the air accompanied by a range of classical to contemporary Arabic and world music. It was built at a cost of AED 800 million (USD 218 million).

Wow Photorealistic Illustration by Marcello Barenghi Part2

Italian artist Marcello Barenghi draws incredibly realistic everyday objects that appear almost three dimensional with the help of colored pencils and occasional enhancements using markers or watercolor. Each work appears ever so slightly stylized which I think sets these apart from similar hyperrealistic drawings that are meant to ‘trick’ a viewer. If you want to see more, Barenghi runs a YouTube channel where he documents the process of almost every drawing.

Charming The Edible Cothes

The color, texture and shape of food has inspired a collection of artists and fashion designers to create clothing inspired by culinary creations. Hunger Pains Food Fashion is a project photographed by Ted Sabarese and created by a team of 15 designers led by Ami Goodheart. Two Project Runway alums, Daniel Feld and Wesley Nault, wove the artichoke dress shown above. The model stood for six hours while the duo crafted the dress leaf by leaf before the first photograph was taken.
