A freediver uses weights, yoga and camera tricks to create the illusion of walking underwater for a film which took three years to shoot and was completed in 2013 in El Hierro, Canary Islands. Like a scene from a Hollywood science-fiction movie, this trick footage shows a man apparently walking on water. The underwater film was shot by biologist Armiche Ramos and brothers Armando and Francisco del Rosario, who used their expertise in freediving to create the illusion. From artist Alberto Varanda comes this adorable series of cute kids, as superheroes, in his series of artworks titled: “Little Heroes World”. Featuring characters from DC Comics and Marvel, such as Catwoman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Angel (from the X-Men), Gwen Stacy and Spiderman, and there’s even a Hellboy too this too looks like a swell guide to kiddie-cosplay for coming shows.

Ialian artist Federico Mauro latest series takes a look at iconic footwear, and its symbolic representation of the people who wore them. With everything from Steve Jobs’ New Balance 991‘s to the Nike Air Mags sported by Marty McFly in Back to the Future II on show, the minimalist series shows how closely one’s identity can be linked to a single shoe.
