Animator from San Francisco Marty Cooper, like many of us are tired of what is happening around. So he took a transparent celluloid film, pen and white pencil, and began to change the world in which he lives. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes – quite unexpected pictures.

Disappointed Cat aka Foo-Chan is a three-year-old Chinchilla Golden has a heavy-set brow, causing him to appear depressed; his gloomy disposition has gone viral on a Japanese forum, where he's been praised as "cute, but troubled" or "worried all the time".

A photographer has created a series of paw-traits of hungry dogs pulling hilarious faces as they try and catch treats. Using a unique technique, the shots are captured at the exact moment the adorable pooches attempt to catch an airborne piece of food. The dogs appear surprised, happy, sad, confused – and sometimes even so blasé they miss the treat entirely. The images were taken by Christian Vieler, a photographer from Waltrop, Germany. These stunning images show the beauty and drama of Mother Nature at work. Captured deep in heart of the Danakil Desert in East Africa, the images show the acid pools near the Erta Ale volcano. Pools of brightly colored acid can be seen amid the dramatic blast of volcanic ash. The photos were taken by Neta Dekel, an Israeli photographer.
