From artist Alberto Varanda comes this adorable series of cute kids, as superheroes, in his series of artworks titled: “Little Heroes World”. Featuring characters from DC Comics and Marvel, such as Catwoman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Angel (from the X-Men), Gwen Stacy and Spiderman, and there’s even a Hellboy too this too looks like a swell guide to kiddie-cosplay for coming shows.

Since its unveiling in 2006 this masterpiece created by Frank Gehry to house the Hotel Marqués de Riscal has become a highly sought after contemporary, luxury retreat. Design, art, gastronomy, wine and the lush landscape all combine to create a memorable sojourn.

Jason Freeny is pretty well known for his dissection illustrations and toys, showing the inner workings of just about every pop culture icon or toy out there. His latest drool-worthy work is a trio of 18″ anatomical Lego men figures. You can see Jason’s entire creation process of these little masterpieces via his Facebook.

These Halloween horrors were all carved out of humble pumpkins by Ray Villafane and his team of professional sculptors who meticulously carved the terrifying characters using spoons and scalpels. Each one takes on average two hours to complete – with the horrifying results netting Villafane, plus colleagues Andy Bergholtz and Chris Vierra, numerous TV appearances each Halloween. This year the team has gone global travelling to Germany, Switzerland and Hong Kong to create their masterpieces. Karsten Thielker, a Pulitzer Prize-winning German photographer with The Associated Press who covered human suffering in conflict zones around the globe, has died at the age of 54. Thielker died on October 3 in Berlin of esophageal cancer, his wife Janna Ressel said.
