A buffalo was on the verge of becoming dinner for a pride of lions… before his best friend stepped in. Usually, this kind of scene in South Africa ends with a tasty buffalo steak for the lions, but not this time. Just when an attacking lion thought he had the upper-hand, he got a bit of a (hilarious) surprise.

You might think Ysabel LeMay’s works are hyper-realistic paintings but they’re created through an innovative technique called photo fusion. The Quebec-born, U.S.-based artist takes hundreds of photographs for each piece, attunes the light and visual properties, then assembles one detail at a time in a painterly fashion to form a single composition. Each work takes 4 to 8 weeks on average.

Vadim Voitekhovitch was born in a small town of Mozyr, Belarus. He spent most of his life Belarus and he graduated from Bobruisk Art College. From 2004 he lives and works in Germany. His style is quite diverse, but he dedicates most of his time to watercolor and oil. Voitekhovitch likes to draw pictures on history subjects and especially subjects coming from XVIII-XIX centuries.

Images of Europes most spooky abandoned hospitals show just how frightening these once sparkling medical facilities can be. The haunting shots show the beds patients would have recovered on as well as the tables and instruments that would have been used during grim operations. Peeling, flaking paint and crumbling walls are prevalent in some of the hospitals while others look almost untouched by time. Storm erupts over Pacific Ocean as plane zooms past at 37,000 ft. The amazing picture shows a massive cloud erupting against a starry night sky as the off-duty airman Santiago Borja flew over the Pacific near Panama City. He had just moments to take the breathtaking snap as the Boeing 767 zoomed by at 37,000 ft on its way from North America to Ecuador.
