Capturing the true essence of Christmas, Lapland is the perfect place to take your family for the holiday period. Situated in the arctic regions of northern Sweden, Finland and Norway, there are a villages in each country around where you can enjoy the full festive experience.

An artist has given classic paintings new hope – by adding Star Wars elements into the famous works. David Hamilton, 50, put his unique twist on paintings by the likes of Monet, Munch, Rembrandt and Van Gogh. The creative artist, from Livingston, Scotland, came up with the idea while flicking through a book of classic paintings. The picture dated January 30, 2025 shows the Red Arrows swooping through the skies as they carry out a winter training session over RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire. The team made the most of the sunny weather to practice their signature moves, with plenty of twists and turns in the blue skies.
