The Craft And Art Of Clay By Chris Kapono

My name is Chris Kapono and I am a self-taught artist living in Missouri. I have been drawing and painting ever since I can remember and art has been a big part of my life. My love of animals and nature is reflected in my art and sometimes interesting things I find on walks in the woods will find their way into some of my pieces!

South Korean traditional bow artisan Kwon Yeong-Hak works on a bow in his workshop in Yecheon-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea, 26 February 2015. Kwon Yeong-Hak still crafts his bows in the traditional way, carrying on a four-generation family business. The Gakgung bow, of which Kwon is one of the last remaining artisans, is unique to Korea, and is constructed with a variety of materials, including water buffalo horn, oak, bamboo and cattle spinal sinew. A ban on the import of water buffalo horns has put the Gakgung tradition at risk. (Photo by Jeon Heon-Kyun/EPA)

Atomic Overlook by Clay Lipsky

Clay Lipsky has created a great series called Atomic Overlook. The project takes terribly boring scenic shots and combines them with some exciting nuclear testing. “Tourists will line up for anything and I always found humor in vacation destinations that are nothing but a bunch of people looking into a great abyss”, he says. “I understand the allure of a beautiful landscape, but as the world’s population grows so do the lines to view the “nothingness”. Atomic Overlook flips the script on that and gives new purpose to those suntanned masses”. (Photo by Clay Lipsky)

Finnjet Fantastic Car

The 29-foot long limousine will surely amaze you not because of its price but because of its junk made body. The vehicle has been named as Finnijet and is owned by a 72 years old chauffeur named Antti Rahko from Finland. It took him almost 10 years to complete the vehicle. He began work by assembling two Mercedes Benz station wagons along with various other parts from different vehicles including Chrysler Imperial 1962.

Paper Craft Castle By Wataru Itou

A paper craft art installation by Wataru Itou, a young student of a major art university in Tokyo. The installation is hand made over four years of hard work, complete with electrical lights and a moving train, all made of paper! Clearly, this man must have created one of the most stunning examples of Paper Craft in the world. The exhibition where this masterpiece was exposed was entiteled A Castle On the Ocean. It was exhibited at Umihotaru, a place which in itself is a major attraction: a service area in the middle of the ocean, right between Tokyo City and Chiba Prefecture.
