Storm chasing photographer Mike Hollingshead makes a living following the worst storms in America, from snarling tornadoes chewing up the Kansas farmland to supercell thunderstorms massing over the Dakotas. His style is to get right in the path of the storm. While he says it’s less scary than you think – because most of the storm consists of heavy rain – it’s still extremely stressful. The Edge Effect By Daniel Kukla

IT'S a relatively simple idea – set up a mirror so you can capture the reflection of a dramatic landscape in a single photograph. Photographer Daniel Kukla, from New York, created a spectacular series of artworks called The Edge Effect using the technique. He clamped the mirror onto an easel and placed it in various settings in the Joshua Tree National Park, California.

Apocalyptic Metropolises by Daniel Del Nero

Italian artist Daniel Del Nero created this aerily beautiful series of architectural scale models, that he constructed with black paper, and covered with flour and a layer of mold. The effect is that of peering into the distant future, long after the extinction of humanity itself.
