A view of colorful incenses, traditionally produced at the Thuy Xuan Incense-making Village, in the central province of Thua Thien Hue, Vietnam on July 06, 2025. The village has been preserving the tradition of incense making for over 700 years. Once producing incense for royal palaces and local communities, the village has now become a popular destination for both domestic and international visitors. The incense sticks, made from natural ingredients such as agarwood, cinnamon, clove, and pine resin, stand out for their pure aromas free from chemical additives. After the bamboo sticks are sun-dried, a natural mixture is carefully applied, creating incense used in both religious rituals and daily life. The colorful bundles of incense sticks left to dry in the villagefeaturing dominant shades of green, red, purple, and yellowresemble a vibrant flower garden. Tourists visiting the village can observe the entire production process, from drying the bamboo sticks in the sun to applying the mixture, and even try making their own incense if they wish.
