Women's work takes on a nontraditional meaning for fifteen Colombian women who work to rid the Antioquia Mountains of deadly landmines as the country edges closer to a peace agreement with Marxist rebels to end over a decade of conflict which has claimed 220,000 lives. Many of the women signed up after having seen their families and neighbours fall victim to the mines. They were enlisted by The Halo Trust, a British-run NGO authorised by the Colombian government in 2014 to support public forces in the effort to de-mine some of the most dangerous areas in Antioquia, Sonson, Narino and Carmen de Viboral.
