Indian widows participate in the Holi festival in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, India, 15 March 2022. Hundreds of widows from Vrindavan and Varanasi gathered to mark the holi festival after the gap of two years due to the massive Covid-19 spike in cases and  many states including Maharashtra, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh put restrictions on public gatherings in the past two years. The tradition of Hindu spring festival Holi, also known as festival of Colors marks the beginning of the spring season will be celebrated across the country on 18 March.
