President Rodrigo Duterte is set to meet US President Barrack Obama on the sidelines of the East Asia Summit in Laos on September 06, and one of the agenda topics will be human rights concerns, according to White House Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes. After two months of President Duterte's campaign on illegal drugs, Duterte said he is ready to kill 10,000 drug dealers and he would take full responsibility for his no-nonsense war against illegal drugs, placing a two million philippine peso (40,000 euro) bounty on police officers who are protecting the drug trade in the country. According to Police data which was submitted to a Senate investigation on August 23 by Director General Ronald dela Rosa, at least 756 were slain during anti-drug police operations and 1,160 more deaths committed by still unknown killers based on a tally from 01 July to 23 August, putting the overall toll of lives at 1,916 or an average of 36 deaths per day.
