An Indonesian health officer vaccinates a puppy in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia, 17 April 2015. The thousands of stray dogs on Bali's resort island of Indonesia have become a threat to the local tourism industry, especially since rabies arrived in 2008, but measures to cull them have sparked debate. A three-month vaccination drive will be launched in April, the sixth since the 2008 outbreak, with the aim of inoculating as close as possible to all of the island's dogs. Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika urged residents to help out across the island, saying rabies was increasing and the government was running out of money to treat bitten humans, local media reported.
