In this photo taken Wednesday, April 8, 2015 the 19 days old Spix's macaw Marcus is pictured in the Berlin organization Association for the Conservation of Threatened Parrots e.V., ACTP, in Schoeneiche near Berlion, Germany. Marcus is the fourth Spix's macaw chick at ACTP in this year. The natural habitat of the Spix's macaw is the Caatinga in the North-east of Brazil. Since the year 2000 the species has been extinct in the wilderness. Only about 90 birds of the species exist worldwide. Together with the Brazilian government the organization ACTP tries to build up a population of the Spix's macaw that can survive in the wilderness to repopulate the species in their natural habitat. This is roughly planned for the year 2021. (Photo by Patrick Pleul/AP Photo/DPA)

The two grey owl chicks had settled down on a log to peacefully wait to be fed by their parents, when one noisy owlet was spotted squawking in his older brothers ear, causing him to recoil and wince through the pain. Barley containing his anger, the older owl shudders at the loud screech before rolling his eyes in utter contempt for his brothers boisterous behaviour. The humorous scene was photographed by 52-year-old Sergey Ivanov, from Kriov, Russian, who snapped the pictures in a forest near Saint Petersburg, Russia. (Photo by Sergey Ivanov/Caters News)
