A poorly hedgehog was feeling a little less prickly after it was brought into a rescue centre completely bald and with no spikes. Pumpkin, who is only a baby, is thought to have contracted a skin condition which slowly saw him lose his spines and fur. Now the bald animal, which looks like it is from the prehistoric age, will have to spend the winter in a heated room inside a fleece through fear he could freeze to death without his protective covering. Jules Bishop, owner of Prickles Hedgehog Rescue Centre, where Pumpkin was taken, said at first she thought he had an infection, but it quickly turned into more. (Photo by SWNS/Splash News)
