Detonations  by Ueli Alder

The explosive Ueli Alder Detonations series is deadly. Created by Swiss artist Ueli Alder, the series is luckily made up of images found on the Internet. However, the Photoshopped collages of explosions still manage to be incredibly badass and terrifying. Adler’s inspiration for the series were war-themed video games, as he attempts to romanticize the cataclysmic detonations that go off during game play.

Ginny - The Dog Who Rescues Cats

Ginny, a seventeen-year old schnauzer-husky mix from Long Beach, Long Island who was famous for rescuing cats, was killed off by her owner, Philip Gonzalez, on August 25th. At the time of her death she had stopped eating and was incontinent and arthritic.

Nicknamed “Rapunzel” by her schoolmates, Natasha has not cut her hair – which at 5 feet, 2 inches long was only one inch shorter than her petite frame – since she was a baby.

And while Natasha currently sleeps in a tiny, windowless room, she got R$9,000 (about £3,000) from selling the hair for extensions which she has put towards a new home for her family.

CHIP House Powered By Solar Energy

CHIP is a prefab, net-zero solar-powered house designed and built by a student-run team from two Southern California schools: Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) and California Institute of Technology (Caltech). A Street Cat Named Bob

James, a once homeless recovering heroin addict, met Bob the ginger cat during a very dark period, and credits the feline with giving him a purpose in life.
It has been Bob, who over the past five years, has helped give James the strength to stay off drugs, driven him to earn money and get his life back on track.
