He is fascinated by beauty and his subjects include leaping and falling horses, men in suits, high fashion, classical mythology and French neo-classical architecture. The Bridge is a concept design for the ArchTriumph competition – they wanted to actually create something rather fun and frivolous (as opposed to their projects that are all of great concern when it comes to functionality, comfort for its users etc). The competition was a nice opportunity to create something a bit “outside the lines” and to have fun actually. A fun and smart idea, yet rigorous, congratulations!

These drivers put a face to one of the most dedicated workforces in NYC, driving day and night to transport New Yorkers and our guests alike. This year’s calendar features three returning All-Stars and 8 new drivers, and debuts our first ever husband and wife driving duo.

At the end of rice harvesting season, the folks of the Kagawa and Niigata Prefectures in Japan hold a straw festival to celebrate the abundance of the harvest. Dried straws cover wooden frames to form larger-than-life sculptures from animals like sharks and gorillas to vessels such as ships and tanks. The family-friendly event invites visitors of all ages to engage, interact, and play on the enormous structures.
