Ukrainian artillery recruits undergo a live fire training exercise on the AS90 155mm self-propelled gun, on July 27, 2023 in South West, England. The UK was the first country to donate Western main battle tanks by gifting a squadron of Challenger 2 tanks with armoured recovery and repair vehicles, as well as a battery of eight AS90 guns at “high readiness” and a further two batteries at “varying states of readiness”. The AS90 is an agile, highly accurate, modern artillery system which provides armoured protection to its crew whilst enabling them to strike targets at long ranges. Over 1,000 UK service personnel are involved in implementing the programme, which is taking place at MOD sites across the North West, South West and South East of the UK. Training on the AS90 is happening at specialist facilities and conducted by officers and soldiers of the Royal Regiment of Artillery. (Photo by Finnbarr Webster/Getty Images)

Ukrainians prepare to celebrate Ivana-Kupala in Richmond Park, London on July 6, 2023. Ivana Kupala Day, also known as Ivana-Kupala or Kupala Night, is a traditional pagan holiday folk celebration in eastern Slavic cultures. Girls create and wear flower wreaths and perform various rituals. Initially, Ivana-Kupala was a pagan fertility rite that was also connected to the celebration of the summer solstice when nights are the shortest. After Christianity arrived, the rites were intertwined with the Christian feast of the Nativity of John the Baptist. (Photo by Guy Corbishley/Alamy Live News)
