Russian contortionist displays the most flexible talents in her new 2017 annual calendar. The “world’s bendiest woman”, commonly known as Zlata, can be seen moulding her body into abnormal shapes wearing 12 different coloured lycra outfits. Using just a small white box as her background, the 32-year-old former gymnast makes use of her available space – stretching her legs in every corner and above her own head. In past times, Zlata has managed to squeeze herself into a 50cm square box and in 2011 she set the Guinness World Record for the most beer bottles opened in one minute using only her feet. The 5ft 8inch model discovered her bendy talents at the age of four and trained as a contortionist at a circus school when she was just six. Putting her rare condition to good use, German-based Zlata has successfully produced her “Excellence in Square” 2017 calendar. (Photo by NikitZo/Barcroft Images)

In this Tuesday, March 8, 2011 file photo, Planned Parenthood supporter Peg Paulson of Carmel, Ind., left, and opponent Heather Pruett of Indianapolis argue during a rally at the Indiana Statehouse on the South Lawn in Indianapolis in response to an Indiana House bill which would end funding to Planned Parenthood because it provides abortions. The nation's leading breast-cancer charity, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, is halting its partnerships with Planned Parenthood affiliates in 2012 - creating a bitter rift, linked to the abortion debate, between two iconic organizations that have assisted millions of women. Planned Parenthood says the cutoff, primarily affecting grants for breast exams, results from Komen bowing to pressure from anti-abortion activists. Komen says the key reason is that Planned Parenthood is under investigation in Congress - a probe launched by a conservative Republican who was urged to act by anti-abortion groups. A tribeswoman holds a gun and a baby, taken in South Omo, Ethiopia, undated. As the newest smartphones and technology are released in our fast-paced society, there are civilizations deep in Africa untouched by outside influences. Approximately 24 indigenous tribes live in South Omo, Ethiopia, whom still retain their cultural traditions and attire. However as more Western tourists begin to visit the land lost in time, the modern world is consequently being introduced into the tribe's culture. (Photo by Neil Thomas/Barcroft Images)
