It was dog day afternoon at the Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade in NYC on October 21, 2023. Dogs by the hundreds paraded down Avenue B strutting their stuff with a canine costume competition later in the park itself. The annual three decades old community event almost didnt happen due to rising permit costs and other expenses but at the last minute it all came together with the help of dog wellness company Get Joy and their corporate sponsorship.
