Winner: Venus Phase Evolution by Roger Hutchinson (UK) The changing face the planet Venus as it grew from 86.6% illuminated and 11.9 inches in diameter on the 25th September 2016, to 1% illuminated and 59.3 inches in diameter six months later. The images were taken with the same setup, so the changing size of Venus, as it approached the point between us and the sun, is apparent.
