Everyone wants to get something for nothing - whether it's a lucky upgrade that means you can turn left when you get on a plane instead or heading off into the economy seats, or even getting a few extra features thrown in for free when you buy a new car.

As some of the sharpest businesses around, no-one understands this quite as well as casinos and that's why they all have a system that they call comps. It's short for "complimentary offers" and these are special treats specially designed to reward you for your loyalty to the casino in question. They're basically bonuses.

Artist Robert Mickelson is an expert sculptor whose medium of choice happens to be glass. There's something so pure and serene about glass. Perhaps it's the material's transparency coupled with its fragility. Whatever it may be, Mickelson knows how to accentuate the element's most appealing qualities. Each of his life-like sculptural pieces exude realism with a refined quality.

These spectacular landscapes may look like something from another planet – but they are in fact colorful salt ponds which stretch for miles. Despite being better known for tech companies and expensive property – San Francisco, California is also home to this vibrant quilt of color spanning the South Bay Area. There is something strangely appealing about the set of pictures created by Sandro Giordano in a series “In Extremis (Bodies With No Regret)”. Could it be the absurdity of the situation? Or the fact that our brain tries to make up some bizarre story to justify what is happening in the pictures? Of course it is impossible to explain why a pair of tennis players ended up lying flat on the ground with a pack of bananas hanging on the net, even if we forget about the tennis racket lodged in the neck of one of the players. We are so used to seeing common square-shaped buildings that we are completely surprised when architects cook up something new and refreshing. However, the new creation that appeared in Rotterdam beside the Binnenrotte is simply jaw dropping. This one of a kind architectural masterpiece is a combination of a huge open air market and an apartment building. The name of this place is Markthal Rotterdam, and it is bound to become one of the main destination points for tourists that come and visit the beautiful city of Rotterdam. Aerial shots always amaze us by their magnificence. Human-sized footprints look like ant trails, trees resemble little pieces of broccoli, and landscapes are transformed into breathtaking images, which look like something that can be seen under a microscope. This set of pictures features surreal aerial shots of Botswana taken by Zack Seckler. In the past, to make these kinds of shots, someone had to go up in a helicopter to take a picture. However, today, such images can be easily made using quadcopters, such as DJI Phantom or any other. The combination of two different drawing styles in one picture never ceases to amaze us. The works of Allison Kunath are a vivid example of this technique. The background of her pictures is drawn using watercolors, while the actual image is broken down into rough geometrical shapes. This creates a very striking contrast, thanks to black, bold lines of the image on the forefront drawn over soft, cloudy shades of color.
