A Ukrainian dancer of the Kyiv City Ballet company stretches prior to a performance at the Theatre de Chatelet, in Paris, Tuesday, March 8, 2022. The Kyiv City Ballet danced to a full house in Paris for the last show of a French tour that has left the company stranded after the war broke out in Ukraine. They described being physically and emotionally exhausted. Being given the opportunity to train and dance was for many a chance to focus on something other than the war. Passengers hold 500 (bottom) rupee banknotes to buy train tickets at a railway booking counter in Allahabad, India, November 9, 2016. People are queuing up outside banks across India to exchange 500 and 1,000 rupee notes after they were withdrawn as part of anti-corruption measures. Indians will be able to exchange their old notes, which stopped being legal tender at midnight on Tuesday, for new ones at banks until 30 December. The surprise move is part of a government crackdown on corruption and illegal cash holdings. Banks were shut on Wednesday to allow them enough time to stock new notes. There are also limits on cash withdrawals from ATMs. The BBC's Yogita Limaye in Mumbai says there have been chaotic scenes outside many banks. (Photo by Danish Siddiqui/Reuters)

The Arabian mare “Jenny” curiously sniffs at the child of Raphael Wöllstein, who is on his way to the train, on her daily walk through the Fechenheim district of Frankfurt, Germany on March 8, 2019. Her owner opens the stable door for the 22-year-old horse every morning. Then the animal can decide for itself where it wants to spend the day. So that nobody thinks she's escaped, a sign with the inscription “My name is Jenny, didn't run away, just go for a walk” is on the halter. (Photo by Boris Roessler/dpa)
