The incredible photographs show the three alligators crowding around the man’s head as they look directly at the camera and one even appears to sit on his lap whilst another reptile places a claw on his arm as it swims towards the surface. A quirky cartoonist challenged his own creation to a fight – but he could only draw. US artist Alex Solis, 31, from Chicago, Illinois, drew his skull t-shirt-wearing alter ego, who he calls Chuck, smashing his phone and stabbing his finger in his Inkteraction pictures. But Alex got his own back with a punch to Chucks jaw before squashing him against the bottom of the page. Gertrude “Billie” Murphy, 22, is brought in for questioning in the murder case of Michael Stopec, who was shot and killed in an apartment hotel, circa July 1927. Back in 2010, French photographer Antoine Bruy began hitchhiking around Europe without any fixed route. Along his travels, he met people who had entirely abandoned city life in favour of an isolated country existence they found more fulfilling. Bruy began seeking out people who lived off-the-grid. After three years on the road, staying in makeshift houses and on community farms, he has released Scrublands, a documentation of the lifestyle. While each living situation is different, Bruy found that all the people he met shared a common desire to escape the rat race and achieve a quieter life in harmony with nature.
