Michael Massaia's photographs are as nostalgic as they are disturbing. His long-exposure images capture a subject matter familiar to most. From a SpongeBob SquarePants popsicle to a Neapolitan ice cream sandwich, he frames the frozen treats most people's summer memories are made of. Yet, Massaia doesn't just realistically render his ice cream. He distorts the childhood favorites by melting them before his lens, until the pops resemble ominous pools of paint or celestial snapshots.

Luis Hernan was always curious about how wireless technologies like radio are transmitted through the air. So after finishing up his studies in architecture, computer science, and design, Hernan decided to research these invisible signals through a PhD at Newcastle University. Hernan set up a system that turned the wireless signals around him into colourful, ghostlike images using long-exposure photography, allowing people to see the strength of the signals around them. There are a number of swamps in Louisiana. Lake Martin is one of them. Swamplands are marshes with different kinds of shrubs and trees. Louisiana Swamplands have different kinds of animals, including the American Alligator and the American Black Bear. Swamplands are usually located on the plains of humid states or countries. Louisiana is not the only home to great swamplands; other flat states with humid enough climates may also house them. One way to find swamplands is to follow the alligator population.
