The Schimmel Pegasus Grand Piano looks more like a spaceship or something else from the Sci-Fi channel than a piano. Schimmel made 14 of these about 10 years ago for people like Prince, Eddie Murphy and Lenny Kravitz. If you have tonnes of money, there is currently one for sale. They are asking US$110,000.

This is one of our latest hand crafted chess set designs. A weathered/worn look is incorporated into this set, as well as a steampunk themed perimeter decor. Natural cracks, chips and scuffs are used and even highlighted to enhance this rustic feel. A series of these and non-weathered versions will be presented on etsy in the upcoming weeks.

The world's first 3D printed car – the Stratti – was built in just 45 hours at the International Manufacturing Technology Show which took place between September 8 – 13, 2014. The Strati, which is Italian for layers, has a chassis body made of one solid piece and has a top speed of 40mph. Residents of Reddit have found a strange phenomenon. If you make a circle on the floor with anything from tinfoil to scotch tape, the house cat would simply love to sit right in the middle of it. However, one thing is for sure – cats are curious and adorable creatures that never cease to amaze us. So, if you own a cat, try this experiment yourself, and see if your cat likes to sit in an imaginary circle on the floor.

Nowadays, crossbreeding and gene splicing are creating things that would never have occurred in nature. Thanks to gene splicing, modern man can witness mice that glow in the dark, goats that produce milk which is then used to make bulletproof vests, and even cows that produce milk that is almost identical to human breast milk. One of the latest feats of human genius is the creation of Thompson and Morgan. By combining the genes of tomatoes and potatoes they were able to create a “TomTato”, which is essentially a plant that grows tomatoes and potatoes at the same time. With creations such as this, the world’s hunger problem may be resolved in a few decades.

Karezoid Michal Karcz is a photographer from Warsaw, Poland. He first started with painting, which helped him to develop a vision that was hard to create with other visual techniques. Then in early 90s discovered photography. His early fascinations of painting and photography have been combined into one piece, with the use of digital tools. Digital photography gave him the opportunity to generate unique realities that were impossible to be created with an ordinary dark room techniques.
