Tracy Raver's photos of babies – particularly sleeping babies – are adorable. The Nebraska-based photographer appeared on the Today Show Friday, September 11. Raver shoots portraits of babies at rest and in all sorts of positions. Full-bellies and a warm studio go a long way in coaxing the babies to sleep.

If you want to be Dart Vader, you will have to deal with his everyday problems, too. That’s what Paweł Kadysz is doing with his new photo project. He aims to take a picture every day for a year – and each one of them should show the Dark Lord of the Sith tackling everyday life. Washing dishes, ironing clothes, eating breakfast – all those little things that heroes do off screen.

Takeoka Chisaka, Hiroshima, Japan. “One morning in August 1945, I was walking home from the night shift at a factory in Hiroshima. As I reached my door, there was a huge explosion. When I came to, my head was bleeding and I had been blasted 30m away. The atomic bomb had detonated. When I found my mother, her eyes were badly burned. A doctor said they had to come out, but he didn’t have the proper tools so used a knife instead. It was hellish. I became a peace-worker after the war. Red River Hogs eat grass, berries, roots, insects, molluscs, small vertebrates and carrion. They are capable of causing damage to plantations. Red River Hogs typically live in herds of 6-20 members led by a dominant boar. Sows rear 3-6 piglets at a time.”
